Key duties include Enforcement, Recovery, Accounts, Administration, Cash, Legal, Pension and Computer-related work, including conducting inquiries, settlement of claims, general administration, cash-book maintenance, bank-statement reconciliation and MIS returns. The post is permanent and carries All India Service liability. The recruitment process includes a 2-hour objective Recruitment Test, followed by interview for shortlisted candidates. The RT carries 300 marks, the interview 100 marks, with a 75:25 weighting. The syllabus covers General English, Indian Culture/Heritage/Freedom Movement, Indian Economy, Governance and Constitution, General Science and Computer Applications, Mathematics/Statistics/Mental Ability, Industrial Relations/Labour Codes/Social Security, Accountancy/Auditing/Insurance, and Current Events.
