Job Description: KABIL is a not-for-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act. KABIL works with government agencies, corporate entities, NGOs and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to promote well-being of the rural poor, focusing on livelihoods enhancement. KABIL is anchored by a group of professionals with long years of experience in rural livelihood promotion in the poorest regions of India. KABIL’s head office is in Delhi and it currently has projects in the northeastern and eastern part of India. KABIL is going to start a project in Mazbat block under Udalguri district of Assam to promote livelihoods of 2,000 rural families mainly through water resource development, agriculture, livestock and fishery based interventions. The duration of the project is three years and the project will start from January 2021. To implement the project, Kabil will set up a spearhead team with base at Mazbat town.
The Project Associates will work as members of the team. Therefore, applications are being invited to fill up these two positions of project associate(program) from the qualified candidates within 7 days of publication of the advertisement.
The Job: The Project Associate (Program) will work in close association with the project executives to implement the project activities. The job description includes supporting the team in identifying the beneficiaries, organizing and imparting training to the community & entrepreneurs, demonstrating the activities, regular monitoring and following up of status of the activities.
Requirements: The job requires deep interest in work with rural communities to improve their livelihoods and well being, and willingness to reach out to remote rural areas. This is fully a field-based position and candidates willing to work in the field are requested to apply. Candidates should have minimum a graduate degree in Social Work/Rural Development or related disciplines. They may be fresher with no experience or have some experience. Candidates should be conversant with English or Hindi language. Knowing Assamese/Boro/Santhali languages will have an advantage. Women are especially encouraged to apply. Having a two wheeler is preferred.
Remuneration: All-inclusive remuneration Rs. 17,000 per month is budgeted for this position.
