AEA works with a vision of “a world where dignity is ensured for all men, women and children through education-the lever of human development” in countries such as Africa, Caribbean, Europe, South Asia and South East Asia. In India AEA is having seven regional offices in Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Guwahati and Patna. In this context, AEA is looking for following position with immediate posting:

Head – Research& Learning (1)
Programme Managers (2) to be based at Patna/Guwahati
Programme Officers (2) to be based at Delhi/Patna

Job Profile:
As the Head of the research and learning unit the applicant will have to undertake the following responsibilities-
Head the research unit and lead/manage various initiatives for dissemination of research for policy advocacy; Identify areas of research/opportunities, potential sources of funding for research; Design research & delegate appropriate team member/agency/individual to conduct & coordinate research initiatives; Monitor adherence to research plans & follow-up action of the research unit; Drive & Manage research publications/journals; Identify & Support quality proposal development & resource mobilization initiatives; Collaborate, network & negotiate with various internal/ external stakeholders; Respond to the demands of internal stakeholders in terms of specialized advice in the areas of research & publication

In the capacity of a Programme Manager, the incumbent would be responsible for establishing and managing projects; Representing AeA in the processes of networking , media relations, identification of partners, meetings with external stake holders, campaigning & event management, stake holders’ relationship building; team building and the overall development and management of the programmes.

As a Programme Officer the incumbent would be responsible for building the organizational image by strengthening , scaling of partnerships (Community, Organisations, NGOs); conducting feasibility studies to identify new projects in line with AeA’s country strategy ; planning, monitoring and review of existing projects , involving in the process of planning , budgeting & financial management for the projects; networking with external stakeholders

Candidate profile:
Educational Profile: The applicant should be a Post Graduate in Rural Management / Social Work / Sociology or any other relevant field.

Expected years of experience: Minimum of 5 years for the position of Head – Research and Advocacy/ Programme Manager (total years of experience not exceeding ten years) and not more than 3 years of experience for the position of a Programme Officer.
Skills Required: Domain Knowledge and skills, Conceptual Skills, Communication, Team Work, Liasioning, Interpersonal, Networking, Public Relations.

Applicants should be willing to undertake extensive travel and be willing to relocate to any other region if need arises.
