Established in 1995, Pragya is a non-governmental, development organization registered in the UK and in India, working with the poorest and most vulnerable communities of the high altitude Himalayan region in India and Nepal. The organization delivers integrated and holistic development projects in the areas of education, biodiversity conservation, renewable energy, agriculture and water management, women, and cultural heritage preservation through its eight field offices in the high altitude Himalayas. We invite applications for the following positions:
Sr. Team Member, Research and Advocacy (posting: Gurgaon; travel to Himalayas): PG from good institutes with a minimum of two years’ experience. Candidates should have excellent command over English language, conceptual depth and good writing skills.
Job involves conceptualizing and designing new interventions based on feedback from stakeholders, and documentation.
Sr. Team Member, Social Development (posting: Gurgaon; travel to Himalayas): PG in Humanities from good institutes with a minimum of two years’ experience. Candidates should be willing to travel extensively to the Himalayas.
Job involves facilitating and guiding the implementation of projects in the social development thematic area including education, indigenous rights and culture preservation in the high altitude Himalayan region.
Team Member, Appropriate Technology (posting: Gurgaon; travel to Himalayas): PG in water technologies or engineering from good institutes. Candidates should be willing to travel extensively to the Himalayas.
Job involves facilitating and guiding the implementation of projects in the appropriate technology area including land and water technologies in the high altitude Himalayan region.
Project Officers (posting: Leh, Tawang): PG in Social Work/ Humanities/ Natural Resource Management with a minimum of two years of project implementation experience. These are field postings and the selected candidates would be posted in the field office.
Job involves direct implementation of diverse projects in a defined geographical area.
Candidates with experience may be placed at higher levels.
