Job Description: Seven Sisters Development Assistance (SeSTA) www.sesta.org is a professionally managed, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization initiated by a group of young professionals engaged in different parts of North-East India. The name SeSTA is pronounced ‘Chesta’ and means ‘Effort’ in Assamese. It was begun with the idea of enhancing the capabilities of vulnerable communities by creating a just and equitable society devoid of poverty and identity-related crises, and by promoting and strengthening institutions in the north-eastern region of India. SeSTA’s mission is to catalyse inclusive and sustainable development in the North-East region of India by enhancing the capabilities of the rural communities. SeSTA is looking for experienced professionals to hold senior-level positions as Integrator. Candidates need to possess conceptual and interactive skills. The place of work is likely to be in Guwahati, Assam or at the district headquarters in the operational districts in North-East. The job will require travel to SeSTA’s operational areas as and when needed.
The candidate should possess the following- Academic qualifications: A professional/postgraduate degree with at least of 16 years of education and having at least 50% marks in last qualified examination, 45% for (SC, ST, OBC applicants). Women candidates are encouraged to apply. Age Limit: The age limit for applying is 35 years.
Experience required: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Salary/Pay: Rs 35000- Rs 50000 per month as per years of relevant experience Nature of Work: The work will involve visualising a programme/project, planning, detailing, and overseeing implementation. S/he will need to network with relevant stakeholders and be the ambassador of SeSTA. S/he will head the function of IT, MIS and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL).
Roles and Responsibilities: • Deploying IT extensively within organisation to ease access to information, effective reporting and transparency • Spearheading the social, digital and print media engagement of the organization and keep the website alive with the latest information of the organization and its work • Equipping staff with technological proficiency • Providing inputs to Operations, HR, Finance & Accounts and FR units to review performance on the ground, glean ideas and learning from experience, and suggest course correction through MIS • Helping the organization access data from the field, process the information to serve as inputs for decision-making at different levels of the organization • Providing necessary data and information to meet the information and reporting requirements of various donors and stakeholders • Undertaking field studies, engage in action research and contribute to the organization’s pool of knowledge and practice • Coordinating with FR, IT, MIS and MEL, Operations and Finance & Accounts team for coordination, communication and dissemination of SeSTA’s works to the ecosystem • Grooming young professionals of SeSTA on HRM activities and processes • Taking part in other initiatives of SeSTA as and when need arises • Supporting other units of SeSTA • Representing SeSTA in various appropriate forums and acting as a brand ambassador.
