Job Description: Requirement of Project Executives – 2 positions. KABIL is a not-for-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act. KABIL works with government agencies, corporate entities, NGOs and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) to promote well-being of the rural poor, focusing on livelihoods enhancement. KABIL is anchored by a group of professionals with long years of experience in rural livelihood promotion in the poorest regions of India. KABIL’s head office is in Delhi and it currently has projects in the northeastern and eastern part of India. KABIL is implementing a project in Udalguri district of Assam to promote livelihoods of 15,000 rural families mainly through water resource development, agriculture, livestock and fishery based interventions. The duration of the project is four years and the project started in April 2018. To implement the project, Kabil has set up a spearhead team with base at Udalguri and Harisinga towns. The project executives will work as members of the spearhead team.
Applications are being invited to fill up these two positions of project executive from the qualified candidates within 7 days of publication of the advertisement. The Job: The project executives will work in a cluster of villages with women of self-help groups and their families, understanding their concerns; planning with them for their livelihood improvement; implement livelihood projects; develop entrepreneurs from among village youth; network and coordinate with government departments, market actors, resource institutions etc. They will also document project progress and learning, write periodic reports, correspond with relevant stakeholders and represent the organization and the initiative in public forums.
Requirements: The job requires deep interest in work with rural communities to improve their livelihoods and well-being, and willingness to reach out to remote rural areas. This is fully a field-based position and candidates willing to work in the field are requested to apply. Candidates should have a graduate degree in Agriculture or Veterinary Sciences or Fisheries or Engineering or a post graduate degree in Social Work/Rural Development or related disciplines. They must have scored at least 50% marks in their 10th, 12th, graduate and postgraduate level. They may be fresher with no experience or have experience up to 3 years. Candidates should be conversant with English language. Knowing Assamese/Boro/Santhali languages will have an advantage. Women are especially encouraged to apply.
Remuneration: All inclusive remuneration ranging from Rs 25,000 per month to Rs. 35,000 per month are budgeted for the positions depending on qualification and experience.
