Job Description: JOB PROFILE o Assist the PM in planning and implementation of project activities. o Work closely with the team in developing programme strategy and programme vision. o Assist in the monitoring of the programme action plan. o Assist in conducting research, trainings, surveys, documentation. o Represent NEN at workshops and trainings within the government and civil society in consultation with the PM, both at the local and national level. o Management of NEN Resource Centre through documentation and initiating related activities. o Participate in staff capacity building programmes. o Extensive travel within the state and region Specific responsibilities. o Responsible for carrying out any research work in the community including assistance in analysis and documentation of studies and field surveys. o Documentation of project activities and assist in developing training manuals and education materials. o Organize and conduct training programmes with different stakeholders as well as organise capacity building programmes for NEN team. o Assist in coordination with government officials and government departments. o Provide programmatic support and logistical assistance to other NEN programmes like campaigns, special days/ events and others. o Initiate issue based study circles in the Resource Centre. o Maintenance of projects files and folders(both soft and hard copies). o Networking with different local NGOs and government departments in consultation with programmes team. o Work closely with all NEN colleagues. o Assist in any other NEN activities and other tasks that may be assigned by the Project Manager, Director or the CEO. Working conditions: Full time. Educational Qualification requirements: Essential: A University Degree in social sciences/humanities or related field. Desirable: A master’s degree and specialisation in women’s and development issues. Experience Essential: Must have worked on the issue of social justice. Desirable: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the field of social/development sector and expertise on women rights issues. Skills, Aptitude or personality requirement Essential: Professional competence, analytical, openness to work in a team, excellent coordination and negotiation skills. Desirable: Pro-active and sensitive to address women rights issues. Any other Fluency in Assamese and English, both verbal and written. Only Short Listed candidates will be contacted.
