About Childaid Network: Childaid Network is a German foundation supporting mainly educational projects in south Asia. Since its inception in 2007, the focus region was and still is Northeast India. Besides Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur, projects are also supported in Bangladesh, Laos and Nepal. An extension to Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura is possible as well. As a guiding principle, Childaid Network only finances projects developed and implemented by local organisations of the respective regions. Childaid invests a good share of its funds in supporting these local partner organisations; monitors the progress to steer and re-design the project approach if necessary. About Bosco Institute: Bosco Institute in Jorhat has taken over the responsibility in accompanying the projects of Childaid Network in North East India. These are mainly implemented by a number of Don Bosco Organisations but also non-faith based organisations. Bosco Institute was started by the Salesians of Don Bosco of Dimapur Province, as a college offering 2-year Master in Social Work degree from Dibrugarh University in Assam, in the year 2008. Six groups of students have graduated from the Institute. They work in social development organizations, government projects and some have started their own social development initiatives. We strive to make the institute more of a youth space than limiting it to being an academic space – mentoring young students in the age group of 21 to 27/28 from the many diverse communities of the region to discover their passion and develop the values, attitudes, knowledge and skills needed to pursue it, even while they try to meet the many expectations of those close to them. The Institute has been acting as a coordination centre for the many project partners of DKA-KFB Austria from 2009 and for the partners of Childaid Network from 2014.

Partner organisations of Childaid Network and Bosco Institute: It needs to be understood that you will be working for a donor organisation and the projects are actually not implemented by Childaid Network/Bosco Institute, but by several local project partners. Therefore, a lot of travel is required and lot of time will be spent with the following partners in the field. It’s our personal commitment to any of our staff to also further develop you in relevant topics and skills required for your personal development. We believe and work with a flat hierarchy in which everyone takes over responsibilities and looks after its implementation themselves. If you are interested in this position, please send your CV, a motivational letter and contacts of one or two references to: Fr. Jerry Thomas (sdb) & Robert Ewers, idea@boscoinstitute.org

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further process. For more details about the organization, please visit our Websites: https://www.childaid.net/?lang=en and http://boscoinstitute.org/
