Job Description: Job Description: Head- Centre of Excellence ICCo ( in partnership with Grameen Sahara (GS) has set up a Centre Of Excellence( COE) in Guwahati which aims to deliver world class knowledge, technical expertise and skills training to promote, incubate and scale Agriprenuership in India in general and north eastern states in particular. The CoE will act as an Agri Business Incubator & Agri Skill training Knowledge and resource centre for Small and Medium Enterprise Large Farmers willing to start Agri-enterprises. Grameen Sahara (GS) is looking for a dynamic, talented individual with passion and commitment to excel. The position will be based out of Guwahati, Assam. Role Description: The Head-CoE role will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the development of the Centre of Excellence (CoE), driving performance to ensure that CoE achieves its Strategic Objective as set out below: Reporting to the Excellence Steering Group (ESG) the Head-CoE will act as a facilitator and bridge between various stakeholders involved with the CoE. 1) Developing a strategy and program for launching of International standards quality programs for Centre of Excellence (CoE) before the new calendar year, with ongoing development and programs thereafter. 2) Prepare a Resource Mobilisation strategy and plan for mobilising financial resources for the CoE. 3) Actively participate in recruiting staff for CoE to deliver the CoE, providing guidance to the CoE staff as required. 4) Being accountable for preparing and getting approval of the ESG the annual CoE budget and operational plan and reporting progress quarterly to ESG. 5) Strategic planning, partnerships, fund raising, marketing for CoE skill building & incubation program. 6) Develop and maintain stakeholder relations with germinators, accelerators, investors, Government bodies etc. Resource Mobilisation: 1) Develop and implement a fully integrated resource mobilisation and partnership management strategy 2) Identify and respond to grant opportunities and maintain a grant tracking matrix as well as a grants database. 3) Lead resource mobilization capacity development planning and implementation for the Centre. 4) Identify and maintain consortia in preparation for upcoming and on-going opportunities. 5) Track, monitor, and ensure successful grant and contract management and fulfilment in accordance with donor requirements. 6) Lead and Support the writing of programmatic reports and technical documents. Networking: 1) Coordinates all marketing/ communication and fund raising development activities 2) Continued networking with local, national and global organisations. 3) Relationship management with major donors, government and corporate/ Trust/Foundations. Other responsibilities: • Training, developing, and assessing centre of excellence staff in support of projects. • Mentoring centre of excellence staff in their areas of expertise or discipline. • • Facilitating and enabling the exchange and sharing of ideas and information. • • Managing costs within the centre of excellence. Qualification & Experience: • Masters in Rural Management or equivalent (MBA, PGDM etc) or full time Masters course in Agriculture, Economics, social entrepreneurship, Development Studies (or equivalent) etc. • Minimum 5-7 years of experience, part of it in working with skill building program start-ups , social enterprises, incubation centres, investor firms or not-for-profits in business development service roles. • Proven track record of managing large or medium-sized projects. • Excellent reporting and written communication skills • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi. Communicating in local language of the region will be an advantage. • Good networking skills and knowledge of government and private bodies and machineries Preferred Qualifications: • Very good understanding of north east region and its demography, economic, social and other opportunities and challenges. • Demonstrated experience promotion of entrepreneurship, agriculture value chain, marketing etc. • Experience with local and global protocols and funding • Demonstrated creativity and productivity in resource mobilization, fundraising and communications Remuneration: Competitive remuneration based on experience and qualification.
