Clerk (Accounts) post at Assam Agricultural University

Applications are invited from Indian citizen for the following post on contractual basis under the “Cost of Cultivation Scheme” sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India located at Assam Agricultural University campus, Jorhat.

III. Job Profile: He/She will have to perform the following duties a. To assist the Director in perform financial matters of the scheme b. To look after overall accounts & finance related matter of the CC Scheme. c. Preparation of annual accounts of the scheme. d. To maintain the asset registers, cash book, stock register etc.
IV. Essential Qualification: a. He/she must be a graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce.
V. Desirable Qualification: a. Adequate knowledge of accounts with 3 years of experience in audit and finance. b. Knowledge of computer application as supported by documentary evidence.
VI. Salary: Rs.15395./-(Consolidated)
VII. Age:-Maximum age limit as on 01-01-2012:38 years.

General Instruction:

1. Mere possessing the required qualification will not make a candidate eligible for the post.
2. No TA/DA will be borne by the Centre for appearing in the test/interview, if called for.
3. DD/IPO amounting Rs.100/- in case of general category and Rs.50/- in case of SC/ST/PH category must accompany the application form in favour of Director, CCS payable at Jorhat and are to be submitted to the Director, Cost of Cultivation Scheme, AAU Campus, Jorhat on or before the cut off date, i.e. September 10, 2012.
