Applications are invi ted f rom eligible candidates for a post of Associate Professor wi thin 21 days of publication of this advertisement. The candidates must have the fol lowing qualifications:
1. Masters Degree in any Social Science Discipline wi th at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade and a PhD degree from an accredited university.
2. Minimum 8 (eight) years of experience in research/ teaching in a university, college or a reputed research inst i tute in a position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor.
3. Minimum five publications including books/research papers in reputed journals/ policy papers.
The job responsibility would involve development of research proposals for competitive funding, extensive field work in ent i re Northeast India, wr i t ing research reports and conducting t raining and workshops. The candidates are expected to be well acquainted wi th contemporary tools in research methods in social sciences. A -hard working and conscientious candidate may look forward to rewarding experience in terms of personal growth.
The candidates shortlisted on the basis of API (PBAS) scores as per UGC/Institute norms will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. The selected candidate wi l l be initially appointed for a period of two years on cont ract basis against a permanent vacancy and confirmat ion wi l l be subject to satisfactory performance.
