No.AU/EC/104/JR-DBT Twinning/00-12: Application in plain paper along with bio-data, relevant certificates and testimonials are invited for 1(one) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and 1(one) Lab/ field Assistant for implementation of a project entitled “Exploration of Lichens from Barak Valley of Southern Assam and Arunachal Pradesh (North East India) and Isolation of Phytochemicals and Bioprospecting of some selected Lichens species” under the Twinning Program for the North-East sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India so as to reach the undersigned on or before June 26, 2012. Duration of the project: 3 years.
Emolument: JRF Rs.16,000/- + HRA for the 1st two years and Rs 18,000/- + HRA for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable only if JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall Rs 12,000/- +HRA only for the 1st two years for JRF and Rs 14,000/- + HRA for the 3rd year for SRF. Essential qualification: M. Sc in Environmental Science /Biochemistry /Biotechnology / Life Science/Microbiology/Botany.
Lab/Field Assistant: Rs. 5,000/- (Consolidated), with experience in field work and assisting analytical laboratory work.
Terms and conditions: No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview, if called for. The other terms and conditions prescribed for JRF by DBT, Government of India will be applied.
Date of interview: July 9, 2012 at 2 P M in the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science.
