Dibrugarh University recruits Professors
Applications (8 copies) in the prescribed form of the University are invited from the intending eligible candidates having AICTE/UGC norms with uniformly good academic career for the posts of Professors, Readers and Lecturers for the following Branches of the Institute, so as to reach the undersigned on or before 16/07/2010. (Reservation for SC / ST will be maintained as per rules).
(A) Computer Science & Engineering
(B) Electronics & Communication Engineering .
(C) Mechanical Engineering
(D) Petroleum Engineering.
PROFESSOR (4 Posts) one in each Branch : [Scale of pay : Rs. 37,400-67,000+AGP 10,000/? (Revised)]
READER (4 Posts) one in each Branch: (At the level of Associate Professor) [Scale of pay : Rs. 37400-6700+AGP 9,000/- (Revised)].
Lecturer (8 Posts) two in each Branch: (At the level of Assistant Professor) [Scale of pay : Rs. 15,600-39,100+AGP 6,000/- (Revised)].
In case of non-availability of qualified candidates as per AICTE / UGC norms, appointment at the level of Lecturer on contract basis with consolidated salary of Rs. 21,600/-p.m. shall be considered. In that case, the qualification for the post of Lecturer shall be First class B.E./B. Tech. in relevant discipline as stated above.
Application form along with details of the qualification and experience for the above posts can be obtained from the Section Officer (Estt.’A’) either personally or by sending a stamped (Rs.30/?) self-addressed envelope (25×10 cm) and a BANK DRAFT of Rs. 200/- in favour of the Registrar, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, payable at State Bank of India, Dibrugarh University Branch (Code 2051). The form can also be downloaded from the University website www.dibru.ac.in and in such cases a draft of Rs. 200/- shall have to be submitted along with the filled in proforma.
Interview of the eligible candidates shall be held on 21.07.2010 (Wednesday) at 10.30 A.M. in the Conference Room, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, D.U. All applicants are requested to mention the contract telephone Nos. as no separate calling letter shall be sent to them.
